Avira antivir stops auto updating
Manual updates in the evenings seem to take longer, maybe because it's daytime where they are.Just did a manual update & it worked fine (I'm also on XP SP3)Shows 12 errors, probably their servers.- insert the media storage into the PC without internet access.- start Avira Anti Vir Personal Edition Classic/Premium and go to the “Update” menu and select “Manual Update” - choose the virus definition file you just downloaded from your media storage and click “Open”.Avira Personal Edition Classic performs PC scans for malicious programs (viruses, Trojans, worms, backdoor programs, hoaxes, dialers etc.), at a fast speed, on a regular basis. It also keeps track of actions executed by users or the operating system and takes measures (repair, delete, block, rename and quarantine) when a threat is detected.
It is good antivirus except it always pops up and displays annoying nag advertisement screen which persuades users to upgrade to paid premium edition of Avira product.

Your copy of Avira Anti Vir Personal Edition Classic/Premium is now up to date.
my opinion is Avira updates source is excellent if you lack an internet connection and you need (must) update your Avira Antvirus. The resources are a lot and very easy to understand.
Keep your PC safe by downloading the Virus Definition File for your copy of Avira Anti Vir.
